Scams galore - yourCompany on screen

yourCompany is featured in the second season of The money hunters on DR. The program has a large overlap with the area we work in.

In our field of expertise, we can't always go out and tell people how we work - and for whom we work. But in specific cases, we assess whether it makes sense to come forward and talk about how we can help companies reduce losses, fraud and crime.

When we got the opportunity to participate with the talented journalist Jens Langhorn, we jumped at the chance. And it doesn't matter if the scammers themselves are watching on the screen, because many of us want to fight their misdeeds!

Many forms of fraud

There are many types of fraud, and where to start scratching the surface?

This program focuses on credit fraud, where companies give their customers credit because there is expected to be a bond of trust between the parties. In other words, the companies that deliver a product and give credit to a given customer are exposed to credit fraud because the customer does not pay their bills after the goods have been delivered. yourCompany assists many different companies that naturally deal with credit. And time and time again, we see fraudsters taking advantage of that system and trust.

We have a completely preventive concept that we offer our customers. We have tools that most people don't have, and we can support the entire risk management process. We don't wait for customers who need to solve a case retrospectively. We want to avoid getting there.

In this broadcast, we take a more practical approach because there are a number of suspicious circumstances that require us to get to the heart of the matter. And in such cases, we like to send people into the field to gather information and facts. That way, each case can be assessed on the best possible basis.

The operations department straightens out the threads

Our operations department helps with these issues, and in this case, our colleague Morten Teglhus Gottschalck, Technical Manager for the Engine area, had to go out into the field and untangle the threads himself.

Morten says: ”We're not exactly used to having a camera in the back seat, but in this case it made perfect sense to showcase how we work in the operational field. Unfortunately, we see that companies that provide credit have large values at risk, and credit fraud cuts across many industries, so with the combination of highly prepared case material, precise operational execution and in some cases a final police report, we can reduce the risk of major losses for our customers.

The Porsche in this story is the physical symbol of several companies that were defrauded by traffickers with ties to the biker and gang scene. We are very pleased that the car was returned to the right hands and that we also prevented losses for other companies. This is really yourCompany's DNA: investigation combined with prevention.”

New projects in 2021

yourCompany is excited to unveil a number of new projects in 2021 to expand its toolbox to prevent credit fraud, cloned cars and more.
