The Danish Construction Association reports a decrease in the number of thefts from cars - also fewer thefts from craftsman cars and vans.
The last few years have seen many reports of thefts from vans and trucks in the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster police district.
In 2019, there were fewer burglaries of cars, commercial vehicles and vans than in the past few years. In 2017, 634 cases of burglaries of cars, vans and vans were registered. In 2018, the figure rose to 651 burglaries, while the figure for 2019 was “only” 319 cases of burglaries of cars, vans and vans. So the curve seems to have been broken.

Fortunately, more thieves are being caught and a number of major information campaigns have been launched over the past few years - all focusing on the problem of theft from cars, work trucks and vans.
In fact, the information campaigns aimed at tradesmen have been extra targeted and massive, with the aim of getting tradesmen to focus on securing their tradesmen's cars and vans to make it harder for thieves to break into them. Local Investigation at Sydsjællands og Lolland-Falsters Police believes that this is what has worked.
