We are happy to have contributed to something good tonight. Herewith an interesting news from YourITdefence ApS, a subsidiary of YourCompany ApS. Our mission is to protect businesses from the devastating effects of ransomware attacks, and last night we stood up to Faust ransomware and won.

The story:
One of our valued customers, a data center, unfortunately became the target of a Faust ransomware attack last night. The situation was serious, but thanks to our advanced security software, the attack was detected and stopped before it could cause significant damage. Only 10 files were encrypted before our advanced software shut down the attack.

Quickly identify and stop the attack:
Our security software not only identified the Faust ransomware attack immediately, it also stopped the attack within 1 minute of it starting. The software also pinpointed where the attack started in their IT environment and exactly which files were destroyed. This precise overview made it easy for their IT department to recover from the attack.

Fast recovery and normal operation:
Within hours of stopping the attack, the data center was back to normal operations. Our software enabled them to recover the infected files and minimize the loss of data and productivity.

Examples like this are exactly what we need. The solution works and it's cheap and easy to install. Unfortunately, yourITdefence experiences all too often that even though serious vulnerabilities are detected in companies of all sizes and unfortunately also on a large scale in public authorities, there is a long way from thought to action. Our solution is installed within days and requires very few resources from the local IT department, both in the installation phase and the subsequent ongoing operation. The solution is also relatively inexpensive. In spite of this, we often find that customers think twice and it can take months or years before they make a decision. Meanwhile, all Danes' sensitive personal data is at risk, as we recently saw in the EDC attack. Too many people run red lights with both hands over their eyes. They know they are vulnerable, but do nothing about it. It's a really annoying trend. Fortunately, we saw again last night how our solution saves companies and data. This isn't the first time one of our customers has thwarted a ransomware attack because they have our solution installed.
